June 14 and we arrive in Las Cruces,New Mexico!

Now I'm beginning to see what the desert looks and feels like! We arrive at the Las Cruces KOA! The site was ours to pick! Very few campers there this time of year. The season there is winter. Soooo we pick a site to die for!! A pull in, high on a hill, overlooking the city! And at nite the city lights were gorgeous! I would highly recomend this place. The pool was clean and refreshing and the campground ws well maintained! Private owned with lots of pride!
A ride into downtown was all of 5 minutes,if that. We went to the big flea market/farmers markets that stretched for blocks in the heart of town. Everything from fresh grow veggie and fruits to art and crafts!
While the city his of strong mexican/spanish population, this market drew from all ethnic groups.
A couple of days here and we were ready to head north. Instead of heading out thru Arizona to SanDiego, we thought we'd put this rte off til next trip west due to the heat! 105 degrees and going west the temps would rise to 115/117 !
So onward, northward we went on June 16th!
