More BIG Sky Country Montana!

July 8 and on our way to Missoula, Montana. We stayed in a KOA in town. It was convenient to everything  in this small town. For some reason I expected more? Could'nt quite put my finger on it, but I expected a little cleaner and a little more/better scenery. The KOA was "ok". At $46 per night the amenities included a pool, store, laundry and dog park. The upside to this short stay was that we met wonderful people! And still keep in touch! April, a single Mom and her daughter Madi , from Houston, picked up the grandfathers trailer in Minnesota and hit the road! Yes, traveled across country for the summer pulling a trailer through those Rockies for the first time ever!! I loved hearing about our "road Warriors" adventures!! Felt like I knew them for forever!
We explored some and were ready to move on.

On July 10th we left heading for Polson, Montana up near Flathead Lake. And OHHH were we delighted upon our arrival! The KOA on a hill on the south west side of the lake was wonderful! And we lucked out with a great spot with beautiful views! At $52 per night, it was worth it. The campground, privately owned, was clean with a store, pool and friendly staff and owners!! The owners are currently selling off sites and this campground will eventually become an owners park. But I'm sure there will still be sites for rent.
We toured north around the lake to Big Fork. I LOVE this town! Cute, quaint and a great place to eat at The Pocket Stone! Not far from Glazier National Park, this town is tucked into the mountains as is a few other small towns north west of the lake. Kalispel and Whitefish are on our list for next visit! We've heard nothing but good about these areas. Also that the wildlife there is abundant to see!
Our last day at the KOA was the 13th due to being booked so we moved south to another rv resort called Eagles Nest Rv Pk. No views of the lake but very friendly and clean. At $44 per night the amenities included a pool, laundry, pads and convenience. Havier and Barbara were full timers working there for the summer. Nice folks! Said they work it out so that workers can have long stints with days off to travel.
We had another repair while there. I water faucet in the kitchen sink! but finally we were up and running!

July 18th and on the road again. This time a stop in Bozeman, Montana! OMG! ( can I say that?) Had we'd known that Bozeman was such a cool town, we'd have planned a longer stay here. An awesome downtown, Main St and suburbs galore! The place was huge! We stayed in the Wal Mart parking lot for a night. But next time there will be a campground on our agenda! We'll plan on exploring more! A neat college town with lots going on!
